Our history
BosDaalen was created in 2021 from the merger of CARGOBOSS (founded in 1902) and Van Daalen Transport (founded in 1920). The great-grandfathers of the current directors were the founders of these two companies that are both firmly rooted in the Westland region in the Dutch province of Zuid-Holland. These family firms have been working together closely since the 1970s, and have grown massively over the years. This growth has seen us increasingly turn our attention to other countries, specifically Germany, Switzerland and northern France. BosDaalen has now developed into an internationally operating company, with the fourth generation currently sitting on the board.
We operate in a market that is increasingly working faster and fresher. That is exactly why our core values that go all the way back to the founding fathers are so important. We aim to be a top player in our industry, but we will only stay at the top by remaining true to who we are. We are only too happy to continue achieving what our great-grandfathers set out to do. Since day one of our existence we have provided certainty and openness, and are happy to dedicate our team effort to taking care of every shipment our customers ask us to carry.
1902
First Sailing 'Westlander', Zuidweg in Naaldwijk. The company Gebr. Van den Bos founded in 1902.
1914
Motorised Ship at Havenplein in Naaldwijk at the first Fruit and Vegetables auction. This vessel was 20 metres long. (1914-1951)
1920
Adr. Van Daalen was founded in Honselersdijk. Transport was done with horse an carriage. Left Corrie van Daalen and Lena van Daalen.
1928
The first lorry of Gebr. Van den Bos, a Chevrolet. In 1932 the second Chevrolet was bought.
1937
Adr. Van daalen at the Adrianus Church in Naaldwijk. Left Siem van Daalen and Arie van Daalen with a Chevrolet, one of the first trucks.
1946
De Gebr. vd Bos met Frans van den Bos als kleuter. Links Piet van den Bos bij de Ford (1946) Midden zijn broer Jan bij de Ford en rechts broer Koos bij de dump Austin.
1947
Van daalen transport met in het midden Arie van Daalen.
1947
Airport Zestienhoven Rotterdam, Gebr. Van den Bos, left Herman Stefes with founder Jan van den Bos.
1948
Adr. Van daalen transport with a Marshall Truck. Left Arie van Daalen and with hat Nico van der Heide.
1956
The opening of the new premises in Naaldwijk, Patijnenburg. (1956-1985) Before the company and house was at the Zuidweg in Naaldwijk.
1964
Gebr. Van den Bos at Patijnenburg in Naaldwijk. The company was based here unti 1985.
1970
van daalen transport building with the two houses above the company at Willem van Hooffstraat Naaldwijk. This building opened in 1970 and was in use until 1995.
1972

1981
Van daalen tranport - Willem van Hooffstraat in the centre of Naaldwijk. BosDaalen still do the same things. Daily Groupage from and to Germany, Switzerland and Northern France.
1985
CARGOBOSS, Stationsweg in Honselersdijk. The company had 22 trucks and just aquired J. Poot with 11 trucks. (1985-1995)
2000
Shareholders, Aad en Aris van Daalen and Frans and Gerard van den Bos.
2017
Eschbach, South Germany, our second base with sleeping facilities for drivers, a warehouse with 4 dockshelters.
2018
Our new building in Maasdijk with all facilities for drivers and a temperature controlled warehouse. In total 5000 m2 warehouse.
2020
BosDaalen Maasdijk. The company operates since 1995 from 'transportcentrum Westland'.
2021
2021 merger of CARGOBOSS and van daalen transport.
